What emotions or ideas spring to mind when you look at this image? Why does/doesn't it appeal to you? Could you connect this to the topic of your blog? How?

  1. I see an amped-up crowd awaiting their favorite band about to take the stage. The image gives the feeling of anticipation and mystery as to what exactly is going to happen next, and this gives the viewer the sense of being there in the middle of the audience.

  2. Looking at this picture, I get the feeling that there is a lot of energy and excitement. It appeals to me because it is a bunch of people that appear to be coming together and uniting as a single group under one idea or cause. I could connect this to my blog because it looks like it could be a concert setting which goes well with a music blog.

  3. This picture reminds me of a picture of Nazi Germany, circa 1935-ish. This photo doesn't have the orderly machine look of the Nazi photo, but it does have the faceless menace about it. I see a mob gathering to rise against an unknown something. It does not appeal to me, but I can see how a feeling of solidarity could come from it.

  4. When I see this image, what appeals to me is the contrast between the people, who possess a brownish-black color to them, to the bright light that illuminates above them. The way I see, while this in direct connection to my blog (Fairy Tales in Popular Media) is lacking, the essence of the two can be related. Both demonstrate the reactions that individuals display to what remains unknown in the point-of-view of the one doing the analysis (the viewer), but never-the-less is very know, or believed to be, to those in the image.
